About the role
Reporting to the CEO, the Group HR Manager has accountability for the strategic HR development of JAAC group and the provision of day-to-day HR services across the group with the aim of maintaining high employee engagement and delivery of quality programs to their stakeholders.
Maintain JAAC’s Workplace Health and Safety Handbook and processes, in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements.
Oversee HR procedures such as complaint handling, conflict resolution, provision of work equipment and access to entitlement benefits.
Oversee recruitment processes, in conjunction with the JAAC’s groups General Managers,
including workforce planning, interviews assessments and reference checks.
Comply with cultural safety principles about overcoming the cultural power imbalances of places, people and policies to contribute to improvements in Aboriginal and/or
Torres Strait Islander people’s employment, training and well-being.
With the Leadership team, design, implement and report on HR strategic and operation plans that support the JAAC Group overall strategic growth and objectives.
Develop and implement the JAAC Groups Indigenous Employment & Training Strategy, alongside the working group and Indigenous staff network.
